Why Vocab App?

Whenever you see a new word and see its meaning, you remember that meaning for some time and forget it later. This is primarily because you do not encounter the same word again.

Vocab App enable you to maintain list of new words you learn and it makes sure you encounter those words again by sending you email containing those words. Say you found 5 new words today and added it to Vocab App, you will receive email containing these 5 words  four times, i.e next day, after 3 days, after 7 days and after 15 days. Even after this, if the word does not stick, you can visit the Vocab App to revise these words. You can just keep one tab opened always to revise words whenever time permits.

How to use VocabApp

Logging In

You can log in using your google account by clicking SignIn placed on top right.

Search Page

Type in the word and hit enter or click Go. The word will be added to your word list.
You will see a page like this

Now you can add a meaning of word you searched in your own words in the empty input box and hit Add Shorthand to save or click Reset to search another word.

Current Words

All words you search for are added to current words. This list look like this originally

In front of each word, we have two buttons to click. First one is to move that word to Archived Words and second one is to delete.

You can click on a word and you will see meaning of that word on right side and hovering mouse over word give the shorthand you have given for word.

Archived Words

Format of this list is exactly same of the current words list. Ideally current words list should contain words you are learning. And then move learnt words to Archived words. You can move from archived words to currents words and vice-versa.

Bulk Add

If you do not want to search words but just to add you can use this feature.
Just write words in the text box like this

and hit Add
You will see a success message when words are added successfully.

If you want to give shorthand for these words also, Just write in format word:shorthand like this

Sign Out

You are not advised to do this as signing out from VocabApp will sign out you from all google accounts. So just close the tab if wish to leave.

Why facebook for feedback??

We use our facebook page to get feedback from users. This may sound like a publicity stunt but believe me its not just publicity stunt. This is done primarily to leverage the like feature of facebook. Whenever you leave a feedback on facebook as a wall post, others may like that which helps us to decide priority of tasks to be done. Along with that its free of cost, We had to spent nothing, neither time nor money!!!.
And if its facebook, there is no learning curve to provide feedback, people already know the drill.
And least of all....Why not facebook???
